Peter Nixon has been involved in motorsport since 1990, competing in the Lands End Trial that year in a Vauxhall Viva. Following the purchase of a Skoda Trophy spec Estelle rally car, Peter competed in various local events in 1991 before finishing 2nd in the Estelle Trophy championship in 1992.
Some co-driving followed in the Peugeot 205 GTi championship and Shell Skoda Trophy, followed by an entry in the 1994 Tour of Mull driving a Talbot Sunbeam Ti. The Sunbeam was campaigned throughout the South East in 1995, before being sold to concentrate on co-driving once more - this time in the BTRDA Gold Star championship in a Nova GSi.
Peter then took a break from motorsport until entering the Group One Touring Car championship in March 2000, where he currently races.
